Edward W. McGloin

Sinton, March 30—(sp)—Edward W. McGloin 59 resident of this city for many years, died at his home here at 8:30 o’clock this morning. Funeral services will be held at 10 o’clock this morning at the Catholic Church of Sinton.

Mr. McGloin is survived by one brother, J. S. McGloin of Corpus Christi; five sisters, Mrs. C. D. Eads of Odem; Mrs. T. D. Handley of San Diego and Mrs. J. A. Hill, Mrs. H. M. Ford and Miss Lizzie McGloin of Sinton; one nephew and one niece.

Burial will be in San Patricio Cemetery, under the direction of David Peel.

Grandson of San Patricio Founder Dies on Tuesday
Death Claims Edward McGloin at His Home in Sinton

Sinton, March 30---(sp)---Edward McGloin 60, died at his home here Tuesday. McGloin was a grandson of the old empressario, James McGloin, founder of the McMullen-McGloin colony at San Patricio more than 100 years ago and which included part of this section. He had been a resident here for a number of years.

McGloin is survived by one brother, James McGloin of Corpus Christi and by five sisters, Miss Lizzie McGloin, Mrs. Homer Ford, and Mrs. Jessie Hill of Sinton, Mrs. Cary Eads of Odem, and Mrs. O. D. Hanly of Harlingen.

Funeral arrangements had not been completed Tuesday night.
