Elaine Arzelia Jackowski

ELAINE ARZELIA JACKOWSKI, 89, devoted mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother entered into eternal rest on April 17, 2003.

Born December 24, 1913 as Elaine Arzelia Skelton in St. Paul, Texas at the Taft Ranch. Her parents were Arthur Truman Skelton and Minnie Arzelia Morton Skelton. She had 3 brothers Laurence Skelton, Merlin Skelton and Earl Skelton. She moved to La Porte, Texas and then to Houston, Texas where she graduated from Reagan High School.

She met and married Joseph Lorin Jackowski in 1933 and was his devoted wife for 59 years until his passing. One of the founders with her husband of Beneke Methodist Church in Houston and for many years in charge of the Womens Church Organization of Beneke.

She is survived by a brother, Earl Skelton of Galveston, Texas, sons, Lorin Truman Jackowski of Spring, Texas, Nicky Roy Jackowski of Moulton, Texas, James Stuart Jackowski of Dallas, Texas.

Extended family had 15 grandchildren, one Nicky Jackowski, Jr., who is no longer with us, numerous great-grandchildren and some great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial Service will be held, 1 PM, Saturday, April 26, 2003 at Brookside Funeral Home Chapel.
