Rev. de St. John
Rev. de St. John, a native of Lectra, diocese of Lyons, France, he was born in 1842. After completing his studies for the priesthood, he volunteered for the Texas missions, coming to Texas with Bishop Dubuis in 1867. He was ordained in Galveston in 1868. Father de St. John served as pastor of St. Patrick's Church in San Patricio from 1869-1871, when he was sent to Corpus Christi. He returned to France in 1881.
